Clinch the Deal Too Tough at Wodonga

Clinch The Deal lived right up to his name at Wodonga, producing a gritty, hard‑earned maiden victory that left the chasing pack with no answers.

From the top of the straight, Brodie Loy knew exactly what he had underneath him.

He lit the gelding up, dared the field to come with him, and delivered the kind of bold, confident move that breaks hearts. Once in full stride, Clinch The Deal kept lifting, kept responding, and kept turning away every challenge.

He relished the heavy conditions, stayed strong through the line, and importantly ticked the 2000m+ box with authority — a sign there’s more to come as he continues to mature.

A tough win, a tough horse, and a maiden breakthrough earned the hard way.
